Open season

The Spring tourist season has begun in the Davies household (although you'd be hard-pressed to notice given the grotty weather of late).  First to check in have been Miles and son Reuben, flying in from far away Herefordshire.  It's a little different from Texas there, but not too much as they do have cows.

This is Reuben's first big trip away, and after a single barbecue lunch he announced that he is moving to Houston.  "My work here is done," I thought, but still took them to an Astro's baseball game.  The weather improved dramatically and we got sunburnt.  The next day we decided to stay indoors, and visited the "Oil Is Great!" hall at the Natural History Museum.

So, in somewhere under 48 hours, barbecue, baseball, and oil!  With NASA, that's Texas done.  No one can accuse Davies Tours of being inefficient.

Reuben is a big guitar player.  Pete is a big pest.

BBQ lunch...and Reuben is sold.

We stopped at our local boot shop, where they will custom make you cowboy boots from any leather, including bullfrog!  Prices start at $2000 (no joke).

Let's go Astros!

Spot the daisy.

And another Texas ingredient...

Drill, baby, drill.
