I'd like to thank my parents...

As Hollywood celebrated, so did we. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards were played out on the big screen at our local, favourite, pizza-serving cinema. Those of us fabulous enough went along to enjoy.

The red carpet had been unrolled outside and we were snapped by paparazzi as we entered. Inside waiters circulated with hors d'oeuvres and our live comperes took the stage whenever advertising breaks occurred (often). We followed the celebrity action until an on-screen timer counted us down to the start of the ceremony.

There weren't that many surprises, but our fellow audience members were very pleased when Californian Jeff Bridges won best actor. The biggest surprise for me was ultra-subversive Logorama (my fave of the animations) winning best short...although there was a tinge of sadness that it beat Wallace and Gromit. There was also a lot of screaming from a certain person in the audience when the Argentinean entry won best foreign language film. Next year: LA.

Who would grace the red carpet in such ridiculously stylish shoes?

Snapped by paparazzi on the way in...

...and what's this? Celebrities already!

No Oscar party is complete without a goodie bag.

Our (live) hosts for the evening.

The place was packed, and sometimes we had to fight for hors d'oeuvres.

We were joined inside by the ever swish Moran. Who are you wearing this year?
