A moving farewell

With great sadness, today we waved goodbye to our nearest neighbours. Sagy and Moran have been living in the flat directly under ours for the last 18 months, but have finally become tired of our all-night parties and lengthy, violent fights. They're off to find peace and quiet about 30 feet away in a nice ground floor two-bed apartment. It might also have something to do with the little Burshtein-Tichon expected in June.

As ever, the village family showed up. Mostly we were there to lend moral support and see if we could nick anything they were throwing out, but if you stood still for more than 30 seconds a box was placed in your hand and off you went. Our reward: Dominos Pizza (and there's nothing I won't do for that.)

So goodbye Mami and Boobi. I'll miss thinking of you every time I stamp on the floor, but at least now you're in an apartment I can spy on without having to dangle from my balcony.

Payment...before we started work! Isn't credit what got this country into trouble?

Shauli, working hard as ever.

Child labour laws were blatantly disregarded.

How many Israelis does it take to dismantle a bed?

Crossing the huge distance between old flat and new.

I like what you've done with the place.

Mr and Mrs Burshtein are proud to receive you into their new home.
