Not even the strip searches of Heathrow could deter us from waving goodbye to the snow and ice of the small island in the North Atlantic we call home and jetting back to the sunny shores of California. They're not that sunny yet, but not having to put on multiple jumpers/fleeces/hats/tights before stepping outside has been very refreshing.
We waved goodbye to John at the airport - he had kindly taken the morning off work to verify that we had left the country. Thank you to everyone who put us up and put up with us for three weeks, and this is an open invitation for you all to come out and see us whenever you want.*
