Six of the best

It was but a short couple of years ago that Maya Singer came to California as a baby. Today she's almost ready to attend business school, as we celebrated her sixth birthday with a picnic in (windy, cold) Tilden Park. All the usual accoutrements were on display - balloons, lots of pink, cakes. Elise and Elliot led the party games with great enthusiasm, and I once again tried to spread the gospel of cricket...

The birthday girl, suitably haughty.

Elise makes the most of an unfair advantage in duck-duck-goose.

This is more like it! Strangely only Loren would join me in a real sport.

Echoes of Shane Warne.

A short coaching session. "So how do I hit a home run..."

Simon (Elliot) Says.

Michal willingly (?) volunteers as toilet paper mummy #1.

And Elise is mummy #2.

Come fly with me.

Parkers in pink.

Bars in purple.

Poor, unfed waif.

Cake arrives, swiftly followed by chaos.

The eternal struggle of lighting candles outside.

Girls: a lot more violent than boys.

Getting away with a hostage. For now.
