The sins of Northern California

Unlike my other, younger Godchildren, eldest Goddaughter Hannah would not be satisfied by unending frozen yogurt and limitless trips to the swimming pool.  Well, she might, I haven't asked.  Instead I decided to take charge of her moral education by introducing her to the various sinful activities that California has to offer and then discourage her from trying them.

Anyway, gluttony and greed have undoubtedly been the easiest ones to start with, followed by alcohol (while not one of the original seven it seems close enough).  The launch today of the iPhone 5 will probably cover lust, envy, greed again, and several others.  And we're going to Las Vegas in a few days, where I can really teach by example.

Sin #1: Greed.

Sin #2: Gluttony.

Sin #3: Republicanism.

Sin #4: American beer.

Sin #5: Abstinence.

Sin #6: Tourism.

Sin #7: Ikea.
