Grapes, no wrath

One tour that I don't mind doing again and again is the one up to wine country. Getting there can be something of a challenge, and proved so again today when we were given a 'free upgrade' on a hire car...then expected to pay the extra insurance. Our request to be downgraded didn't compute in the American car hirer's mind, so instead they knocked down the price of cover. This allowed John to fulfill another American dream of driving a ridiculously huge jeep around.

We followed a tip from Dana and Amir and checked out a new winery - Sunce. Wow - we were not disappointed. They poured and poured their (free to taste) delicious wines, and then sold them to us cheap - they seemed cheap after several glasses, at any rate. From there we, of course, popped into Korbel, and then headed to Healdsburg. Thank goodness we got that car upgrade to hold all those bottles...

The wheel is almost as big as Laura.

The leaves are turning up in Russian River Valley.

Wine seeks drinkers.

Oh my gourd!

At Sunce, and the server is already looking blurry.

Finished off, literally, by La Crema.
