Where in the world?

Tonight was another Haas event fondly remembered from last year - the International Consumption Function. Students from around the world presented their national cuisines for all to enjoy.

The English table was a notable absence last year...and this year too. BUT Hannah leveraged the 25% of her that's Scottish and we found ourselves serving haggis sourced by fellow-Haasie Oz. I wore my Welsh rugby top.

Our tasty treats were not universally enjoyed. We had the table next to the French one, which ran out of cutlery early on. People filled their plates there then wandered over to steal our forks. Hannah's shortbread was, however, a huge hit, and the shrine to Sean Connery (complete with candles and incense) impressed all.

Citizens of the world.

The Israeli table, once again my favourite.

King of Scotland.
