Our lady in Manila

Well, Hannah seems to be having a grand old time down in the Philippines.  Someone comes and puts a white cloth, with her slippers on top, next to her bed every night.  That's not something that's going to continue when she gets home.  By her accounts, customer service in Manila is even better than in the US, but then when you come from Britain any service is a surprise.

She has actually been working hard (she tells me) in various workshops and meetings, and is off to see a geothermal plant tomorrow.  I was quite to hear that Chevron believes in that weird and wacky form of energy.  Then it's back into business class and a return to these shores, hopefully before I'm forced to cook something for myself more complex than cheese on toast.  It has been tough...for one of us...

Hannah's current abode, the Makati Shangri-La.

A dragon (the symbol of Wales, surely) made out of flowers in the lobby.

The view from her bedroom window.

Tropical paradise.

Proof that the Philippines is more cultured than the USA.  Apparently mall shopping is the national pass time.    I think we might be moving there soon...
