Today we communed with nature in Marin County, the headland just to the north of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a late start, due to the excesses of last night, but we took in redwoods, the Pacific (all of it) and the Bridge. We even saw some genuine tree huggers in Muir Woods - this is California after all.

Mum contemplates stealing a cutting for propagation back in Dorset.
A native of Muir Woods - a banana slug. I don't know why it's called that because it didn't taste anything like bananas.
The Pacific.
And the Golden Gate Bridge.
