Hannah and her brother John are very competitive. They were banned from playing Risk together when they were younger. So when John and Laura announced they were pregnant, Hannah decided it was time to start a family.
Of course, John thought he'd won by having a due date three weeks before ours, but he didn't count on Hannah's blind ambition, and so our baby popped out before his rightfully older cousin.
In a weak attempt at retaliation, Laura went into labour ten days early and this morning had a beautiful little girl. "Baby G" (they were going to spend this week deciding the name) is doing very well at 7lbs 2oz, and labour lasted all of 10 hours with no drugs or complications. What kind of story is that? I'm claiming the horrific birth crown for the Davieses.
I'm glad they weren't born at the same hospital - she might have eaten Peter.
With four Hammonds, one Goodall and one Davies we now have enough for a basketball team (with sub). Only nine more to go for rugby!
