Contraband

Everyone has been extremely kind dropping off meals for us, which has allowed us to spend longer with Pete down in the hospital.  I've been toying with the idea of taking down Hannah's doll and switching them, Escape From Alcatraz-style, but I know he's in the best place etc. etc.

Anyway, Hannah's colleague Jenny brought round dinner tonight, and not only did she make shepherd's pie but also provided us with a bottle of HP Sauce!  So potent that it's illegal anywhere other than Britain, I believe this bottle was smuggled through the tunnels under the Atlantic that we use to sneak immigrants and tea into this country.

A sauce of national pride.

In other news, Peter is now an chubby 4lbs 2.7oz and has one item of clothing that is too small for him!  He's moved beds to be near the babies that can have the tops off their incubators, which is our next milestone.  This is good, but he now seems to be classed as a "boring baby" (he gets that from his parents) and all our earlier, emergency-trained nurses are off looking after more acute cases.

Very cute, but possibly too big to wear this!  Yay!

On the swaddling side, I think you'll see that my skills are coming along nicely.  One day I'll let him sleep with his arms out, around the age of 5.
