Happy Easter

Rabbits, chicks, chocolate eggs...only after a trip to church!  We joined Vince, Christine, and several other Haas students of upstanding moral value at the 11am Mass in St Mary Magdelene church in Berkeley.  But it turned out to be 11.30am, which meant that amazingly we were all on time!  The service was beautiful, if a little long when a Mozart piece of four movements was included (the priest got up thinking it had ended, and was shooed back into his seat by the conductor!)

In the afternoon we hosted a proper afternoon tea, with hot cross buns, simnel cake, and oodles of piping hot English Breakfast (with milk, of course).  Somehow over 30 people squeezed into our flat, and we once again flew the flag for British cuisine.  Pop in for leftovers!

The faithful are gathered.

What's the point of being a baptised Roman Catholic if you don't use it?

That afternoon, an essential Easter ingredient (homemade by Hannah).

The spread!
