Travels in NorCal

Into the car we got and off we drove north.  All the bridges over the Bay are free until 10am if you have three people in your car!  Mum and Sheila proved to be economically useful early on.

We dropped by the Jelly Belly factory and once again took the tour (because you get a free pack of beans at the end).  In the shop they were selling off their Valentine's beans in bulk, so I returned home with bag fulls for the various princesses we know.  I'm popular in the village this evening!

Then it was further north to Vacaville Outlet with a "small" lunch at Applebee's (tasty, authentic American cuisine).  We turned around at that point and retraced our steps to Berkeley and Tilden, a huge regional park near us with lakes, forests, and mountains.  After that we really did need our trip home for a cup of tea.

A reunion of old friends.

Employees of the month.

Sheila with the small starter she requested.

Off to find some exciting plants...

...and vegetables.

Pretty flowers!
