Today San Francisco celebrated St Patrick's Day! As I pointed out to Dana and Amir, they were probably more Irish than most of the people there, but that didn't seem to be the point. If you were wearing green (which I was...over a Welsh flag T-shirt) then you were part of the proceedings.
The whole thing was a bit surreal. There were stalls selling fish & chips, and one selling Irn Bru. Riverdance music blared out from a handful of stages, the Guinness flowed, and various wheel-of-fortune games presided over by suspicious leprecauns were taking all the money you could spare. A wonderful example of an integrated society? Maybe.
