Ruling at the castle

A hurricane blew into Vegas today, and it's name was Davies. Dad and I left Mum and Hannah in slightly chilly Berkeley and headed to the Nevada desert to make our fortunes.

Unfortunately fate had other ides, but I'll tell you about that tomorrow. Here are some photos of our first day, settling in at the Excalibur , and some light fruit machine ("slots") action.

A room fit for kings.

Last-minute revision.

Everything seems so much bigger in America.

Dad feeds a $100 bill into a 1c fruit machine. We were there seven-and-a-half hours.

The face of a winner!

You never know...

The fountains at The Bellagio dancing to the voice of Celine Dion. I actually felt quite emotional.

Just like in Ocean's 11.

The impregnable castle of probability.
