Gorilla gorilla gorilla

You may remember that Amir is currently in Gabon, saving the planet one primate at a time by putting together a business plan for opening up the country's rainforests to visitors. The idea is that tourism produces money so that these delicate habitats don't get exploited by oil companies. It's all part of Haas's International Business Development project, which you can read more about here.

Anyway, one of the big draws of the trip was the possibility of seeing gorillas. After a week in a remote camp with no electricity or (gasp!) even Internet access, today Amir was able to relay the happy news that he has indeed seen a whole group of our close evolutionary ancestors. And he's been stung by a giant blue bee which has made his hand swell to twice its normal size. And been attacked by ants, which meant he had to take all his clothes off in the middle of the jungle and pick them off one by one. But what do you come to business school for?
