A pizza magic

You know how everything is better in America? Today we discovered this truth extends to ordering pizza!

Having perused the local pizza purveyors we decided to spurn the little guy and go with mega-chain Dominos. And what a great decision that was! To begin with we were able to order online. But then you can track your pizza online! Within seconds we were informed that Tom was handmaking our take-away dinner. A few minutes later the website updated to show us it was in the oven. We tracked it all the way to the knock on our door - the delivery guy was also suspiciously called Tom - and then into our tummies (no Internet needed for that last bit).

The occassion for all this junk food consumption was a goodbye to Dana as she goes to Seattle for Amir's internship (i.e. a holiday). Amir, you may remember, is in Gabon, where the recent death of the head of state has caused a few glitches for him and the other seven Haas students doing voluntary work there. Like the Internet being turned off for the whole country. And all land, sea, and air borders being closed.

But all indications suggest that they'll be back safe and sound on Saturday, and then on Sunday he's flying up to the Emerald City. In the meantime I'm accompanying Dana as she drives the car north, so the blog will take on a "road trip" feel over the next few days. Don't worry, I made sure that all the hotels she booked have free wi-fi.

How does it know?!

Happy eaters.
